You guys Rock!! Always have, and continue to surpass the competition in service. My wife just recently developed a pinched nerve in her leg and the only remedy for long rides is a set of Diamond "R" passenger highway pegs. We are leaving for the East Coast via Deals Gap on the 10th and were pressed to get the pegs installed before we leave. Thanks again for that "extra mile" of service............The STAR Touring & Riding community will once again be informed of the outstanding products and service you and Patti provide. I have a chapter of 42 members with 13 Ventures all sporting Diamond "R" leveling links that continuously amaze Venture owners who do not have them with our handling ability.

I wanted to extend my deepest thanks for going the extra distance with the delivery before I left for my trip through the New England States, from Halifax, Canada. It took me 30 minutes to install the Leveling Links. In that 30 minutes, I went from having a very good Bike, to an exceptional Bike. I have gone from having a bike that had the feeling of "Constipation" (logy and sluggish), to an exceptionally "Nimble" Bike. Cruising my local "twisty" that I use to check out new modifications and toys, I found the bike very light feeling. The Bike felt like it had shed 200lbs! In fact, it was like I was riding my Honda Shadow again, with the comfort of a Gold Wing. I did find that it will take a bit of getting used to on the Highways (70mph+), as I am compensating for the buffeting of a 950lb bike, not this much lighter feeling and nimble bike. Stopping, I no longer have that feeling that the bike is going to tip over. As for actually height, I found this Bike a bit tall for a Short, Fat, Bald guy. As such, I was concerned about the change in height. I have noticed virtually MINIMAL change. VERY well done to you for developing this OUTSTANDING product and the EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service. I will be making another purchase soon from you!

As for the product, YAMAHA, could indeed learn something from this!

Patti & Allen, I just put the leveling links on my '06 Venture today and let me tell you I have a totally different slow speed bike. Unbelievable difference!!! I spent three days at Americade this year and got so discussed at how hard my bike was to handle while going slow with the wife on the back. I was ready to get rid of the Venture and maybe get a Harley touring bike. Well after the huge improvement this leveling link kit made I'm keeping the Venture. I was a little skeptical that the kit would be as great as some of the testimonials claimed on your web site, but I am a believer now. Well worth the Eighty dollars.

I just received this lightbar today and it is the finest I've seen yet. I just finished installation and hookup and it is fantastic. We are having the annual bikers reunion in our area at the end of the month and I am sure there will be some interested in getting one. There will be in excess of 3000 bikes. Just wanted to give Allen a pat on the back..... I ordered a driver's backrest from him late last week and received it very quickly. I bought the over stuffed from Diamond R and it's a perfect match to the seats on my 06 Black Cherry. Looks like a factory made accessory from Yamaha. My lower back is shot and it makes riding fun again. I'm saving my money to order more accessories from Diamond R.

Just got my backrest yesterday took all of 10 mins to install. Quality, Great matching looks to the 05 Venture stock seats.

Definitely a different riding position, but it is more forward for me I'm 5'6" , an the support in Throttling is a boost as others have mentioned. Excellent back support. I've got maybe 50 mi. on it so far an I'm sure I will have to adjust an see how my navigator will mount/ dismount with it on. Doesn't look like it will be a problem though

got my new Diamond R back rest today. It went on in a snap and looks great. This is the first back rest I have ever put on any of my bikes and im kicking myself for not doing it sooner.. This truely is a new ridding experiance. The only problem I can see with this back rest is that I'm going to have to learn to start drinking coffee before my rides so I dont fall asleep.
I recommend this to anyone that like to do long rides

I just finished mounting the new driver's backrest on my 06 RSV. Now ...
if you were to look up the definition of "clutz" in a dictionary, there
would be a picture of me for sure.
But, with the instructions and with the way you've designed and built
the backrest, I was able to do it in a half hour tops!!! And to top it
all off, it looks fantastic.

It was great dealing with you - keep up the great work!!!

Hey Allen Got My Lights!!!!

Allen -

First let me add to what has already be said about you: I worship you, I adore you, I am in awe of you. Got my rail lights on today's mail...as you promised. The workmanship is stellar. I am taking the day off tomorrow because I can't wait until Sat. to install them. I am the boss, so it's okay. I have a long-suffering staff. So thanks for a great product and wonderful service. I can even understand the directions.

As to the Yamaha bag rails. I got mine about two months ago. The lights fit them fine. The pic in the catalogue is screwy. Per the previous post, I hate the Yamaha lid rails...the don't do anything except shine in the sun. I used Harley's lid rails. Can't remember the name but they have the double top rails which look good with the double rails on the bags. I didn't have to do any machining or anything like that. I just played with location until I liked them and so I could still use the key to lock my saddlebags. Check out my gallery pics. But put me down for a set of lid rails if you start making them. I will fill the holes, repaint, etc.

Now Eck, you are right Allen and Patti are some great folks and I have had the pleasure of spending some nice times with both of them since they also live in Texas. And Patti is really a sweet heart, but Allen is a little scary until you get to know him (just kidding Allen). But he is a good old boy Texan that will certainly go out of his way for you. I hope you don't mind Allen, but I thought it might be nice for these folks to see who they have been doing business with. This is a picture that was taken in 2001 down in Kerrville and Patti and Allen are the couple at the top and the girl in the lower right is my wife next to a close friend, Sue Wilson.

I don't know about you folks, but I have been around for quite some time now, and in the past 10 to 15 years or so I personally (as well as you) have seen "customer service" go to $^%$$#@.

We have all posted our "BAD" customer relations and or dealings with others on this site...

It's time for something that really needs our attention here....

The above post shows and proves to me of the past years when a buisness, and or it people who run it, "really cared" about thier customers and "wanted" thier buisness and "enjoyed" providing "excellent" customer service, and a members, I ask you to also notice the "quick" responce....

Rather remiss of me not to mention my last dealing with diamond R too. I was an early convert to their stuff. I had one of the chrome brackets snap off just before Star Days. I bought it at Star Days 2002. I think I hit a bird or the bird hit me, didn't notice that the bracket and of course the chrome lower were gone.

Went to Allen at Star Days 05 to see about buying just one bracket and one lower rather than a complete set. He replaced them for free!

I'm hoping he will start making Mercedes cars and complete bikes soon! Very Happy



Ditto. Allen even sent me a replacement for a part that I was partially to blame for the problem. I have several of his items on my bike and I continue to get positive comments from folks on them.



Replaced both of my stainless lowers and brackets, and even provided me a bolt upgrade for my wind jammers.

Some of the best service I have had!!



Agree with you guy's, I ordered the hitch from Allen. When I called him he was at star days in Missouri. He sent it to me from there as opposed to making me wait till they got home. I concour Great service

Allen's earned a good reputation over the years for excellent customer service. I've never had a bad experience doing business with him. We're fortunate that we've got the relationship with some of our vendors that we have. They go above and beyond simple customer service to make sure we're taken care of.



Allen from DiamondR has already sent another pair of passenger pegs to my home - and I'm not even home yet!! My first pair began to prematurely rust.

Just wanted to let you know that I love my overstuffed backrest for my Royal Star Venture. I get compliments
every time I ride. They ask me what kind of seats do I have and are amazed that they are stock seats with a custom
added backrest. The vinyl black matches the original equipment perfectly. I had no trouble installing, the
toughest part was just putting the driver seat back on (it was my first time removing the seat). Thanks again

comments that have been on the Venture site of late. They all talk about the
great customer service. Well their are a few of us that can comment because
not only do we buy all your parts but are glad to call you & Patti personnel
friends as well. So for all you people who only get to deal with Patti &
Allen over the phone or by email---THEY REALLY ARE THAT NICE ALL THE TIME.

I ordered the new passenger hiway pegs from Diamond R last Wed. or Thur. online. I already received them today. What fast service. They look great. I can't wait to get them on the bike. I'll have to wait a while though. I just dropped my baby off at the dealers to get my fuel gauge fixed. If my wife likes them half as much as the Diamond R arm rests, it'll be another purchase well worth the money. Top quality products at a very competitive price.

Emailed an order to them on a Saturday - they responded on a Sunday saying it would be there by the end of the week - which is was. 10 minute install - no holes to drill or punch out, and 829 miles the next day. NO complaints!

Dittos to all the above regarding the DiamondR backrest. I just purchased and last week installed the DiamondR for my '04...and love it!!



I think the Utopia must be a good one, but I have the Diamond R backrest. I think it looks good, I know it works well, and it is a snap to install. You absolutely cannot find nicer and better folks to do business with than Allen and Patti, at least in my experience.

You can get a backrest from them in short order, without waiting, unless they happen to be out of stock for some reason, and they will tell ya if they are. My backrest has the stitching and look that is similar to my Midnight seat. It has the diamond shaped design in the center.

I highly recommend the Diamond R products.

I've had the Diamond -R for a month or so and the diffrence it makes is unbeieveable.GOOD FOLKS TOO...Dog I've had the Utopia for many thousands of miles and I've come to really depend on it. I will say if you are tossing around the 2, Go with DiamondR. I've recently done some business with Alan and he has absolutely the best customer service anyone can ask for. Alan, you are the epitome of the American way of life!  



The DiamondR company is great to deal with, and the backrest relieved a lot of my lower back strain. Still need to stop for a stretch every 90 min or so though.



Thank you so much for the quick delivery on the back rest I ordered. It arrived safe and sound 3 days before
the expected ship date and 1 month prior to the anticipated ship date had I ordered the ?other? brand.
